Because culture cannot be reduced to an element of attractiveness of the territory, it is also an element of social cohesion, the foundation of a sharing of a common destiny.

In this perspective, GIZ, commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), supported the Ministry for Moroccans Living Abroad and Migration Affairs in organizing the Migrants' Week in its 2nd and 3rd edition (2016 and 2017) on the occasion of the celebration of International Migrants Day on 18 December.

The Migrants’ Week takes place once a year and is characterized by the organization of several activities and diversified actions in favor of migrants and refugees in collaboration with its various national and international partners. Cultural and sports activities promoted by associations are carried out in the neighborhood to will strengthen social cohesion in the neighborhood, which becomes more inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable
