The Migrants Health Program 2007 – 2012 it is a public policy in line with the guidelines and strategies defined by the National Development Plan for the 2007 – 2012 period.

It defines objectives, strategies action plans and goals aiming at supporting the objectives defined in the Sectorial Health Program 2007 – 2012 (PROSESA).

Directo a México

The "Directo a México" program enables remitters to send money from a bank account in the USA to any bank account in Mexico, offering a safer, cheaper and more efficient remittance channel than traditional money transfer operators. The sender pays all fees; there are no deductions or fees for the beneficiary in Mexico. The payment is initiated in USD and converted into Mexican pesos using a highly competitive foreign exchange rate. Consumers using this program pay one of the lowest fees on the market, at less than USD 5 per transaction regardless of amount sent.

National Health Week's (Mexico)

The National Health Weeks from Mexico are an annual program that mobilizes community clinics to offer a week of services aimed at the Mexican/Latin population with health promotions and programs designed for migrant groups. They provide information about available health services.

Institute of Mexicans Abroad (Instituto de los Mexicanos en el Exterior)

The Government of Mexico has created the Institute of Mexicans Abroad (Instituto de los Mexicanos en el Exterior) to provide support to emigrants and promote leadership abroad; it helps improve the integration of Mexican communities in destination countries and maintains systematic and direct communication between Mexico and its Diaspora.

Migratory Act

Mexico's new Migration Law specifically incorporates past GFMD recommendations to strengthen bilateral, regional and international cooperation to manage the flows of international migration and to incorporate migration in development policies and poverty-reduction strategies. The main tenet of the Migratory Act is the protection of human rights of migrants, especially women and children. Mexico recognizes the important contributions made by migrants to the host countries, as well as to their country of origin.

OPI - Child Protection Officers

In order to better protect migrant children, Mexico has created a unique model for the Protection of Unaccompanied Migrant and returnee children and adolescents. The model includes the creation of a specialized corps of child protection officers (in Spanish: Oficial de Protección a la Infancia, OPI) within the National Migration Institute (INM).
