Allowing university students to work

The General Directorate of Migration Management provides rights for migrants. Turkey has granted the right to work to foreigner students on undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs. There is a promotion of courses, distance learning and other means of learning related to access to education services as well as other services for all king of foreigners. As you all know Turkey has been suffering of a mass influx from Syria and has built some camps and some centers for Syrians fleeing from their country under temporary protection regime. 

OPT program - Optional Practical Training

The OPT program is a broad opportunity that is available to graduates in any field and provides a visa to stay 12 months in the United States after graduation. The US is a top destination for studying sciences, technology, engineering and math, the STEM fields. And as part of a particular effort around those fields, the US has expanded access to the OPT program for those in the STEM fields for an additional seventeen months beyond the initial twelve month for the prior program.

High school equivalency program

The High School Equivalency Program (HEP) helps migratory and seasonal farmworkers (or children of such workers) who are 16 years of age or older and not currently enrolled in school to obtain the equivalent of a high school diploma and, subsequently, to gain employment or begin postsecondary education or training. The program serves approximately 5,000 students annually. Competitive awards are made for up to five years of funding.

 

Overseas Pakistanis Foundation

Pakistan has established various schools in the Gulf countries and in some other countries where they can provide education to the kids of the migrants to have better access to education.

Under the Emigration Rules made under Emigration Ordinance 1979, Articles of Association, and Memorandum of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation, OPF Education Division is vested with the following responsibilities

New Immigration Code (Greece)

According to the new Immigration Code, third-country nationals legally residing in Greece are entitled to free movement and establishment all over the country. They enjoy the same rights as nationals concerning social security and social protection. Migrant minors are subject to obligatory school attendance as nationals and they enjoy free access to all activities within the educational communities at all levels of education.

Philippine Schools Overseas

Philippine schools overseas (PSOs) are duly-registered educational institutions operating outside the Philippines and implementing the basic education curriculum of the Department of Education (DepEd). PSOs are required to comply with the requirements and regulations of the government of the Philippines and of the host countries. A valid permit to operate from the host country is required before applying for accreditation from the Philippine DepEd.



Tulay or Bridge Program

The unlimited potential program for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) is a public private partnership between the government of the Philippines and Microsoft (as part of the Microsoft Unlimited Potential Program-Community Technology Skills Program (UP-CTSP)). The program focuses on improving lifelong learning for under-served Filipino youth and adults by establishing learning centers and providing IT skills training in cooperation with non-governmental organizations.
