Objective 5: Enhance availability and flexibility of pathways for regular migration

The governments of the Republic of the Philippines and the Federal Republic of Germany signed two new labor agreements to enhance partnerships for the deployment of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the healthcare industry and other professional services.

It ensures equality of treatment and social protection for migrant workers. The BLA also applies social dialogue by ensuring that inclusion of trade unions from both the countries of origin and destination (PSLINK/Philippines and Ver.di/Germany) in the oversight committee.

These Guidelines provide for the voluntary, planned and coordinated movement of people to suitable locations, away from risk-prone areas, where they can enjoy their rights under customary, national and international law, fulfilment of which is necessary for relocation to be durable.
The Guidelines establish a framework for decision-making, planning and undertaking relocation in accordance with the principles in key regional and international frameworks that provide guidance for relocation, as applicable to the context of Solomon Islands.

the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) has officially signed a mobility agreement that will permit the granting of visas and residence permits as well as the movement of its citizens within the Communityís member countries.
The Agreement aims at facilitating the entry and stay of citizens from a CPLP Member State in the territory of another Member State through the following immigration titles: (i) CPLP short-term visa; (ii) CPLP temporary stay visa; (iii) CPLP residence visa; and (iv) CPLP residence permit.

Launched at the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles, California in June 2022, the Los Angeles Declaration on Migration and Protection seeks to mobilize the entire region around bold actions that will transform our approach to managing migration in the Americas.

The Los Angeles Declaration is organized around four key pillars:

- Regular Pathways for Migration and International Protection
- Humane Migration Management
- Promoting a Coordinated Emergency Response

Thhe Intergovernmental Authority on Development in East Africa has developed a Freedom of Movement Protocol which integrates international labour standards and also addresses mobility due to climate change

The National Directorate of Migrations of Argentina implemented through Provision 891/2022 the Special Humanitarian Visa Program for nationals and residents of the United Mexican States, Central America and the Caribbean displaced by socio-natural disasters, named as "Environmental Humanitarian Visa Program", which aims to provide humanitarian protection, planned relocation and lasting solutions to people, nationals and residents in the United Mexican States, Central America and the Caribbean (23 States included) displaced by socio-natural disasters.

The National Directorate of Migrations issued on March 2022 Provision N° 417/2022 that authorizes the entry and stay in Argentina for humanitarian reasons of Ukrainian citizens and their direct family members, regardless of their nationality, in response to the crisis caused by the war that is going through that country.
