Georgian State Commission on Migration Issues

The State Commission on Migration Issues was set up on 13 October 2010 on the basis of the Government's Decree No. 314. The Commission is the Government's consultative body to discuss and take decisions on various important issues related to migration management.

The Commission comprising of 12 government entities is chaired by the Minister of Justice and co-chaired by the Deputy Minister of the Interior.

eMigrate Project

eMigrate project is a transformational initiative of the Overseas Employment Division of MEA, Government of India, to automate the current emigration processes and eco-system.

The ministry has undertaken this transformational e-governance program with a vision to transform emigration into a simple, transparent, orderly and humane process.

Mainstreaming migration and development into the governance of local authorities of the Bicol Region Project

The proposed project seeks to localize, mainstream and actualize migration and development (M&D) issues and projects among key provinces, cities and municipalities in the Bicol Region. Among others, the project will establish migration resource centers in the Bicol region. These resource centers will serve as one-stop hubs for services and projects for overseas Filipinos and their families. These centers will also help generate investments to provide Bicolanos with alternative economic options apart from overseas work.

Republic Act 10801

The Philippine government, along with their partners from the civil society organizations, private institutions, and international organizations, has continuously strived to integrate gender in the migration-related legislation. This led to the recent passing of the Republic Act 10801, known as the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Law (this May 2016), a new legislation promoting gender responsive migration.
