Kiron Open Higher Education is a social start-up founded in 2014 with the aim of removing existing barriers and provide higher education to refugees. The university offers an innovative combination of online and offline learning to provide accessible, sustainable, and cost-effective education. Kiron is investing in Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) to facilitate integration of migrants through education.
FUNZI is a joint initiative by a start up and the government of Finland to carve a map of the places where refugees are arriving in Finland and to provide them all the information they need on the country. In 2015, they launched a mobile information and learning service for asylum seekers and refugees. The information for the newcomers on the country is in several languages.
In Jordan, UNHCR is using technology to provide refugees access to assistance,cash assistance using iris-scanning biometric technology and in cooperation with the local banks.
UNHCR is developing a five year strategy called 'A Global Strategy on Connectivity for Refugees and Digital Operations.' Pre Departure Orientations Seminar or PDOs stands in contrast to the PEOS. The PDOS is conducted just immediately, prior to departure or when migrants already have a contract of work. It is an educational programme designed to assist successful applicants for organized recruitment prior to their actual deployment, with information on the laws and procedues, cultural idiosyncracies and practices of the host country. The Filippino government also holds a special hotline - anti-trafficking hotline 1343 which provides online legal counselling as well for anybody who needs it.
PEOS stands for Pre Employment Orientation Seminar. It is a general public information advocacy campaign that seeks to inform people about the realities of migration abroad. There is AIR guidance or Anti-Illegal Recruitment guidance which guides people toward the legal path of securing work abroad providing information on the legitimate jobs and the proper course of action to take.

Through a series of international discussions, media campaigns and policy reports, it tries to explore the reasons why hate speech remains such a pervasive phenomenon, which contributes to violent extremism, xenophobia, and racism.

Launched in 2014, cantonal integration programmes (CIPs) are intended to remedy gaps in the integration process. The aim is not just to assist immigrants but also to help local communities by showing them how to provide immigrants with the best possible information.
CIPs help to fill existing gaps and the lack of specific programmes to encourage integration, and also help communal authorities to welcome and provide targeted information to immigrants. CIPs are jointly funded by the Swiss Confederation and the Cantons.
