Laguna Province establishes a “One Stop Migration Resource Center”, which serves as the hub for information and support to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families.

The municipal government of Carmen de la Legua commits to the implementation of a Municipal Plan of Local Action to build a future with Migrants and Refugees 2023-2026, which will allow:

Contribute to the elimination of all forms of discrimination and promote evidence-based public discourse.
Promote the mainstreaming of migration and forced displacement in municipal services, as well as in local, regional, and multilateral partnerships as a mechanism to increase cooperation between cities.

Specifically, this plan prioritizes, among other things:

The Greater Amman Municipality commits to constructing a public park near Al-Hussein Refugee Camp and establishing the city’s first Children’s Climate Academy to teach Amman’s youngest generation the importance of environmental stewardship.

The M4SD Programme (2019-2023) aimed to harness the development benefits and reduce the negative effects of migration for host and home communities, migrants, and their family members. A key component of this Programme was to showcase how inclusive policies can be implemented locally and how the results contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

 In Santo Domingo, Ecuador, the Cantonal Human Mobility Consultative Council was created to ensure that migrants, refugees and returnees can exercise their rights and have a voice in policymaking. The Council provides information, giving advice to people on the move to help them navigate administrative processes, access local services, etc., and gathers data about migrant and displaced people’s needs. The Council is composed of migrants, refugees and returnees in Santo Domingo, which enhances trust with the community and allows for ownership.

Guatemala is attempting to foster better migration management through the establishment of a Multisectoral Roundtable for Attention to Migration in 2021 that will promote participation, intersectoral collaboration, accountability and transparency.

OHCHR developed a toolbox, to create human rights-based narratives on migrants and migration. It is based on the UN Human Rights Seven Key Elements on Building Human Rights Based Narratives on Migration and Migrants and the experiences of its partners. 

The Scanlon Foundation Research Institute’s Mapping Social Cohesion study is the pre-eminent source of information on social cohesion in Australia. Running since 2007 and with surveys of the Australian population conducted annually since 2009, the study provides a rich and long-running set of data on social cohesion, immigration, multiculturalism, migrant settlement and integration and a range of other topical issues.

The Australian Human Rights Commission has launched a plan to develop a National Anti-Racism Framework. The Framework will be a long-term, central reference point to guide actions on anti-racism by government, NGOs, business, educators, health professionals, police, other justice authorities, civil society, and the community.
