The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Institute of Mexicans Abroad (IME), in alliance with the Embassy of Mexico in Germany and the Germany and Bavaria Chapter of the Global MX Network, call for migrant writers of Mexican origin to participate in the 2nd Literature Contest for the Mexican Diaspora 2023 with the theme "Mexican Traditions". It aims at promoting literary creation by involving the Mexican community abroad, using social networks, emails and digital materials

As part of the initiatives promoted by the Institute for Mexicans Abroad (IME) in the area of economic development and entrepreneurship, the Consular Entrepreneurship Program for Mexican Women Abroad (PCEME) has been promoted in collaboration with the Mexican Consulate in Phoenix and the Thunderbird School of Business at the University of Arizona, which aims to train and provide tools to women entrepreneurs to create and strengthen a business abroad.

In collaboration with the African diaspora in Europe, WIDU applies an innovative approach that combines funding and coaching to strengthen new and existing small businesses in Africa, which then leads to the creation of new jobs.

WIDU.africa works in close collaboration with different African diaspora organisations and associations based in Europe. This partnership is vital for the implementation of WIDU.africa and the success of the project as they create a bridge between the WIDU.africa project and its most important actors ñ the diaspora members.

The German Platform for the Reconstruction in Ukraine is a German government website where non-governmental organisations and agencies based in Germany which want to participate in the reconstruction in Ukraine can find information and contacts. It offers space for information-sharing and networking for actors in Germany who are engaged in the reconstruction of Ukraine, including diaspora civil society actors

As part of the MSDG Project, on 23 September 2017, the President of The Gambia declared that a Stake in the Nation Forum (SNF) will be held annually in The Gambia. The Gambia Diaspora Strategy (GDS) and the Gambia Diaspora Directorate (GDD) were launched at the first SNF on the 13th of January 2018. The SNF is a practical mechanism for diaspora engagement in policy development. It is also an innovation to improve general development policy and practice in the New Gambia. SNFs will include high level plenary sessions and thematic workshops.

China's State Council proposed expediting legislation on the protection of the rights and interests of overseas Chinese in its report submitted to the country's top legislature for review.

A national law dedicated to the protection of the rights and interests of overseas Chinese has yet to be put into place, according to the report on the work related to Chinese nationals overseas, which is under deliberation at the ongoing session of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress

Morocco pays particular attention to Moroccans living abroad (MRE), and is making major efforts to strengthen ties with its diaspora. In this context, the Moroccan government has implemented a comprehensive and integrated policy in their favor, described in the "National Strategy for Moroccans Residing Abroad".

DEPOMI is financed by the European Union's Emergency Trust Fund for Stability and the Fight against the Root Causes of Irregular Migration and Displaced Persons in Africa ("EUTF").
