Dialogues Migrations

Between 2021  and 2023, France has funded a project called “Migration dialogues” which aims to promote a responsive discourse on migration. This project targets mainstream medias (journalists, bloggers and influencers) as well as journalism schools through training activities to support content development and information-sharing on migration issues.

Legal empowerment of migrants / Empowerment juridique des personnes migrantes

The “Legal Empowerment of Migrants” project funded by the European Union and implemented by Enabel in partnership with the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry delegated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans residing there foreigner, responsible for Moroccans living abroad (MCMRE) whose prerogatives were transferred in 2021 to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MAEC)/department of migration affairs began at the end of 2018 and will be implemented until October 2022. 

Stake in the Nation Forum

As part of the Migration and Sustainable Development in the Gambia Project (MSDG), on 23 September 2017, the President of The Gambia declared that a Stake in the Nation Forum (SNF) will be held annually in The Gambia. 

I Yeke Oko Project

Funded by AFD, the I Yeke Oko ("We are together" project aims to promote peace between populations and territorial cohesion in Cameroon and the Central African Republic, by helping to strengthen local governance, consolidate social ties and boost the rural economy. The I Yéké Oko project is aimed at the balanced and sustainable development of territories affected by the displacement of populations resulting from the Central African conflict in the Central African Republic and Cameroon. 

DIASDEV

DIASDEV is a joint project initiated by the French Development Agency and the Caisse des Dépôts from France, Italy, Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia and carried out in partnership with public-sector financial institutions in 2021. 

DIASDEV aims to increase diasporas’ capacity to mobilize their savings for investing in their countries of origin. To achieve this goal, the project is structured around two pillars: 

i) Facilitation fund for diasporas’ investments, offering funding for technical and financial assistance to financial operators, banks, post offices 

Regulations of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) on Consulate Protection and Assistance

Adopted by China’s State Council in late June 2023, the Regulations of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) on Consulate Protection and Assistance took effect on September 1. 

The Regulations consist of 27 articles, mainly specifying the responsibilities of various parties (the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), diplomatic institutions abroad, relevant departments of the State Council, and local governments) in providing consular protection and assistance, including guidance and coordination, safety prevention, and support.

TADY - TAntsoroka ho an’ny Diaspora

The TADY project started in June 2023 funded by the French Development Agency (AFD). 

It aims to structure public policies for the Malagasy diaspora, by strengthening the institutional framework and developing local cultural and economic capital. In particular, it creates conditions conducive to diaspora mobilisation for the socioeconomic development of Madagascar. This project is based on three main objectives:
