National Migration Strategy 2016-2020 (Georgia)

The Migration Strategy 2016-2020 is the third strategic document for Georgia defining migration policy. The strategy reflects an increasing drive, in cooperation with the EU member and other states, to increase the basis for legal migration, and prevent illegal migration, and transnational and trans-boundary organised crime. A special emphasis is given to the development of mechanisms facilitating return and reintegration of Georgian citizens, protection of the rights and integration of persons with refugee or humanitarian status, and asylum seekers in Georgia.

Norway Integration Policy

The goal of this policy is to increase labour market participation by investing in formal education, skills and qualifications, and to foster participation in society in general. Formal skills and qualifications are key to acquiring and keeping a job.



At the core of Norway’s Integration Policy are two programmes regulated by the Introduction Act:

The reinforced integration effort is one of the Government’s six main areas of commitment. The main challenges are low employment rates among immigrants, a skills gap, and exclusion along economic, social and cultural dividing lines. The goal of the strategy is, through a coordinated and comprehensive effort, to increase labour participation and participation in society in general,.

Migra Movil

The "migra movil" is a fully equipped bus supported by the Government of Costa Rica and the IOM to train personnel in charge of immigrant services that brings information and services to citizens living far from the capital, but also to vulnerable migrants in border areas.

Ambulante Film Festival

Ambulante Film Festival uses documentary film as a tool for social and cultural change. Ambulante brings documentary films and training programs to places where they are rarely available in order to foster a cultural exchange, encourage a participative, informed and critical attitude in audiences, and open new channels of expression in Mexico and abroad. For the past 15 years they have been producing and showcasing stories about migrants, their families and communities.

National Institute of Migration

The National Institute of Migration is an administrative body, under the Ministry of the Interior of Mexico, which applies the Mexican laws and international treaties to grant all foreigners the necessary facilities to carry out legal, orderly and safe migration procedures that allow their entry and stay in the national territory. 

 

Comprehensive and Sustainable Strategy for the Protection and Integration of Migrants

Considering the need to guarantee the protection and integration of people in mobility contexts, Mexico proposes a “Comprehensive and Sustainable Strategy for the Protection and Integration of Migrants" through actions with differentiated criteria that facilitate their integration.

This Strategy has a mechanism for the monitoring and follow-up of actions and programs, in order to guarantee the protection and integration of this population.
