The Alliance of Credential Evaluation Services of Canada was formed so that provincial-level evaluation and assessment services of credentials for skilled immigrants are standardized.

The Alliance is made up of credential assessment services from across Canada. Alliance members provide a variety of clients — such as employers, professional regulatory bodies and educational institutions — with the assistance they require and the quality assurance they demand in assessing the academic credentials of prospective applicants.

The M&D Mainstreaming Guide primarily aims to help the local governments of CALABARZON (Laguna, Batangas, Cavite, Rizal and Quezon) in integrating M&D into their local planning, and provide them with a sample menu of services that their localities can provide for the migrants and their families. It will also provide pertinent information on international migration, issues of migrants and the national government agencies involved in M&D initiatives so the LGUs could link up with them.

Mainstreaming migration and development into the governance of local authorities of the Bicol Region Project

The proposed project seeks to localize, mainstream and actualize migration and development (M&D) issues and projects among key provinces, cities and municipalities in the Bicol Region. Among others, the project will establish migration resource centers in the Bicol region. These resource centers will serve as one-stop hubs for services and projects for overseas Filipinos and their families. These centers will also help generate investments to provide Bicolanos with alternative economic options apart from overseas work.

The local authorities of Upala, in Costa Rica, have a key role in managing unique local migratory contexts. Upala is an immigration and transit zone at the border with Nicaragua, home to many Nicaraguan migrants in search of employment opportunities, access to social services and better living conditions or workplace of many Nicaraguans who cross the border each day to make a living, thus living in a ´cross border´context.

Chèque Service - Canton of Geneva

In order to promote formalization and tackle irregularity and informality of domestic migrants' status and employment, the Swiss canton of Geneva has adopted a voucher system that can be used by employers to regularly hire domestic workers, particularly women migrant workers, and provide them with social security coverage, even if they are in an irregular migration situation.
