Burundi

During the lifetime of the ninth European Development Fund (EDF), covering the years from 2003 to 2007, the European Community was able to support Burundi during a transitional period of crucial importance to the country's future.

Migration and Development in Africa Great Lakes (MIDA - Great Lakes)

Submitted by Mr. Dário Muhamudo on

MIDA seeks to respond to the ‘brain drain’ phenomenon in African countries through the creation and strengthening of sustainable links between diasporas and countries of origin. The objective is to encourage the transfer of competencies and resources of the African Diaspora benefiting countries of origin and strengthening the capacities of local public and private institutions.
