Recruitment of Filipino Nurses for Germany

On February 4, 2016, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), an agency of the Philippine Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) which regulates activities related to Filipino migrant workers, passed Governing Board Resolution No. 4, series of 2016, which allows private recruitment agencies in the Philippines to participate in the recruitment, deployment and employment of Filipino nurses for Germany free of placement fee charges.

The purpose of albinfo.ch is to be used as a communication tool through free and convenient access to quality non-partisan information and services.

Integration courses

Integration courses consist of a language and an orientation component. They cover everyday topics such as the workplace, shopping, television and radio, and childrearing. Participants learn about dealing with administrative offices, writing emails and letters, and interviewing for a job. You will also learn more about Germany as a country, from a number of perspectives: culture and politics, how people live and interact in Germany, and the values on which German society is based. The language course usually consists of 600 hours of instruction, the orientation course takes 60 hours.

Inter-Ministerial Working Group for International Migration Policy

The inter-ministerial group aims to improve a coherent German policy and to promote dialogues in migration and refugee policy as part of a European joint strategy. The working group has a two-pronged mission. It is expected to develop a more coherent and unified migration policy, as well as ensure close cooperation and collaboration between various ministries involved. It also serves as a best practice for European partner countries.

Triple Win Project

The Triple Win Project, coordinated by Germany's Development Ministry (GIZ), aims to match a surplus of qualified experts in countries of origin with unfilled vacancies in Germany. Participating third countries are Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Philippines. The term "triple win" refers to the benefits for the migrant and the labour market in the country of origin, the shortage sector in the country of destination and the development stimulus received by the country of origin through remittances.

EU Immigration Portal

The EU Immigration Portal serves as a first point of entry to reliable, practical and up-to-date information on immigration issues. It provides useful basic information written in user-friendly language and gives rapid and direct access to relevant external websites for further information. In concrete terms, the portal helps potential migrants to:

- Better understand the EU admission rules and procedures;

- Identify job and study opportunities;

- Find information on the rights of non-EU citizens who are in the EU;

Strengthening the Development Potential of the EU Mobility Partnership in Georgia through Targeted Circular Migration and Diaspora Mobilization
