Agreement between Mexico and Mercosur Countries

Allows nationals from the countries in Mercosur such as Chile, Peru, Bolivia to be able to migrate, either temporarily or permanently, and to be more integrated regionally. While increasing cooperation between the states, this mechanism also means that all the members of Mercosur will be naturalized regardless of their migratory status.

The agreements that Ecuador has with Peru and Venezuela, for example, make it easier for citizens from all three countries to stay and work in neighboring countries.

Wages Protection System (WPS)

Wages Protection System (WPS) is an electronic salary transfer system that allows companies / institutions to pa y workers wages via banks, bur eaux de change, and financial institutions approved and authorized to provide the service.

The system, developed by the Central Bank of the UAE, allows the Ministry of Labour to create a database that records wage payments in the private sector to guarantee the timely and full payment of agreed-upon wages.

Roster of services provided by AMOSUP, Philippines

The Associated Marine Officers and Seafarers Unions of the Philippines (AMOSUP) provides a roster of services to its members, including hospitalization and medical benefits to the seafarers, their spouses and families under a broad preventive, diagnostic and curative program. AMOSUP also provides legal representation, pension plans, life insurance and burial benefits for its members covered by Collective Bargaining Agreements between workers and ship operators.

Overseas Workers Welfare Fund

The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) was formed by an Act of Parliament in 1985, one of its objectives being the establishment of an Overseas Workers Welfare Fund (OWWF). The OWWF aims to meet all expenses incurred in providing assistance to Sri Lankan migrant workers and their families. The Fund offers a compulsory insurance scheme, coverage of cost of repatriation of migrant workers, scholarships for children, and loan schemes with partner banks to cover migrants' pre-departure costs and start-up of self-employment schemes.
