Caribbean Association of Training Agencies (CANTA)

The Caribbean Association of Training Agencies (CANTA) was created to establish and govern a Regional Training and Certification System to harmonize national TVET systems and develop regional standards in training and establish a system for assessment, certification and recognition of skills. All certification in the region comes under the CARICOM Vocational Qualification (CVQ) framework.

Suriname

There is little support for students and entrepreneurs in regions affected by conflict, the climate crisis or displacement. Even when education is available, it is hard, if not impossible, for motivated, talented young people to access the labour market. Spark has 25 years of experience in develops higher education and entrepreneurship for young people in conflict and post-conflict zones, allowing them to develop a cross-sector approach that opens up pathways to employment for potential entrepreneurs.

Suriname

This Country Strategy Paper (CSP) presents the framework which will govern EU cooperation with Republic of Suriname for the period 2008-2013.

Suriname’s development strategy and policies are documented in the Multi-Annual Development Plan 2006-2011, its central objectives being growth and poverty reduction. Reform processes to achieve these goals are in place for the public sector, health, education, transport, justice and police, environment and agriculture.

Patria Grande (National Program for Migrant Documents Regularization)

The Argentinean National Migration Directorate established via its disposition N. 53253/2005 a "National Program for Migrant Documents Regularization", which was also called "Patria Grande". This programme was arranged to regularize the immigration status of natives of foreign countries belongining to MERCOSUR (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela) and their associate member countries (Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru and Suriname), that were residing in Argentina prior to April 17th, 2006.
