MeNTOR (Mediterranean Network for Training Orientation to Regular Migration) is a project that promotes legal migration paths through co-development cooperation projects. In its first phase (2017-2018), MenTOR aimed to improve temporary and circular migration schemes for young people between Italy, Morocco and Tunisia.

Project for Entrepreneurial Mobility between Ivory Coast and Belgium (PEM N'Zassa)

The project PEM N'Zassa, which is deeply rooted in the two countries in which it is being implemented, Côte d'Ivoire and Belgium, aims to support the entrepreneurial ecosystems in each country. The project proposes a circular mobility model for 120 Ivorian entrepreneurs and SME employees who have developed an innovative entrepreneurial project, and for whom mobility to Belgium represents an opportunity to create value.

Within the framework of cooperation with Tunisia, the programme developed by the Swiss Confederation aims to involve the Tunisian diaspora in the sustainable development of Tunisia and to promote skilled circular migration between Tunisia and other European countries, including Switzerland.

Comprehensive Information and Orientation Programme (CIOP)

The Comprehensive Information and Orientation Programme (CIOP) implemented currently in the context of the Abu Dhabi Dialogue (ADD) helps operationalize a coordinated management system for the provision of tailored pre-employment, pre-departure and postarrival orientation (PEO, PDO and PAO) services for temporary contractual workers (TCWs) in the GCC states. With technical support from IOM, the governments work towards developing a CIOP regional guide and a corresponding management system, which will then be tailored to operations in the specific country contexts of ADD Member States.

Bilateral Agreement between Nepal and Malaysia on the Recruitment, Employment, and Repatriation of Workers

In October 2018, Nepal signed a labour agreement with Malaysia, the preferred job destination for Nepali migrant workers.

Nepali Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security Gokarna Bista and Malaysian Human Resources Minister M. Kulasegaran signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the Recruitment, Employment, and Repatriation of Workers amidst a special function in the Capital.

Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) Migration Data Analysis Unit

To improve on information gathering and analysis, a research unit was established in 2017 to collect and analyse migration-related data in the Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) in Egypt. The Migration Data Analysis Unit aims to fill in existing information gaps by conducting periodic assessments and producing key statistics on migration issues to support the development of evidence-based policy and enhance migration management in Egypt.
