Migrant Resource Centers (MRC's) in Nepal

The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE), has established (with the support of IOM) a Migrant Resource Center in Kathmandu which provides correct and reliable information on overseas migration and destination countries to potential labour migrants. This includes mandatory pre-departure training to migrants, literacy training to families of migrants and entrepreneurship training to returnees - the MRC's have been expanded in order to cover more districts. Insurance is also mandatory for every departing migrant. 

Strategy on Reintegration of Returned Albanian Citizens

The Strategy on Reintegration of Returned Albanian Citizens is part of the national migration policy. It further expands those reintegration measures of the National Strategy on Migration which do not fully address the reintegration issues. The vision embedded in this Strategy is to ensure sustainable return of emigrants through support to the reintegration process, regardless of the form of return.

State Office for Croats Abroad

The State Office for Croats abroad is a central state administration body established to promote cooperation and strengthen relations between the Republic of Croatia and Croatians living outside the country.

MEDMA 2

MEDMA2 (Mobilisation des Marocains Résidant à l'Étranger pour le Maroc) is a pilot project aimed at mobilising the Moroccan Diaspora legally settled in Belgium to contribute to the development of their country of origin. Financed by the Belgian Cooperation agency, the project has been implemented since May 2012 by the International Organization for Migration, through its offices in Rabat and Brussels.

This project is implemented in close collaboration with the Ministry in charge of Moroccans living abroad (MCCMRE) and the Foundation Hassan II (FHII).

Nepal Bilateral Agreements in the area of Labour Migration

The Government of Nepal has signed bilateral labour agreements with five major destination countries, namely the Kingdom of Bahrain (April 29, 2008), the State of Qatar (April 21, 2005), the United Arab Emirates (July 3, 2007), the Republic of Korea (July 23, 2007) and Japan (2009). The Government is also taking into consideration signing labour agreements with Oman, Lebanon and Malaysia.
