The Bulgarian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy has a network of Offices for Labour and Social Affairs in four EU countries. The so-called “labour attachés” that head these four offices provide labour and social affairs services to Bulgarian citizens in seven countries.
The new Law “General Rules Governing International Development Cooperation” (Italian Law 11 August 2014, no. 125), has been definitively approved by the Italian Senate on 1 August 2014.
This task force aims to fight or track down the traffickers of persons. It is chaired by one of the senior deputy ministers, and it is involving all stakeholders in the country, government, non-government, private sector and the civil society as well as others who are willing to help in terms of the global partners from the UN system or from bilateral donor countries.
The global Integrated Programme on Fair Recruitment aims to promote fair recruitment practices globally and across labour migration corridors, including Philippines, Hong Kong, Nepal, Jordan, and Tunisia from West Africa and to the Middle East.
In 2012 President Obama issued an executive order that strengthens existing protections against trafficking relating to federal contractors by, among other things, prohibiting contractors and subcontractors from doing business with the federal government, from charging recruitment fees, to prospective employees, using fraudulent or misleading practices during the recruitment process or withholding workers’ passports or identity documents. These provisions address many of the areas of potential abuse in the recruitment process.
The Law for the Protection and Development of the Salvadoran Migrant Persons and their Families (Ley Especial para la Protección y Desarrollo de la Persona Migrante Salvadoreña y su Familia) was passed by the Parliamentary Assembly in 2011.
The Azerbaijani government continues to assume primary responsibility for the care and protection of the country's 597,000 internally displaced people (IDPs), who fled their homes in the early 1990s as a result of the conflict with Armenia over Nagorno-Karabakh. It has devoted significant resources to IDPs’ problems over the past two decades. It has also raised awareness on displacement, collected data, trained officials on IDPs’ rights and adopted laws, policies and programmes for their protection.
In the end of 2014, after the crisis declared in Honduras due to the important migration of minors, unaccompanied minors, the Government created the Task Force for Migrant Children. It is composed by different entities, as the First Lady Office, the International Cooperation Institution, the Sub Secretary of Consulate and Migrants Issues or the Sub Secretary of Human Rights and Justice. This Task Force is based on the collaboration among institutions in the government, together with other instances of international cooperation, city councils, media, as well as the Chamber of Commerce.
International Organization for Migration (IOM)'s project aims to support the relevant authorities and other stakeholders in migration management with a focus on promoting the health and wellbeing amongst migrants transiting through Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen and Libya. All countries and the activities are ODA eligible.
This law has been established given the need to build a uniform legal framework for the integration of foreigners in the economic, social and cultural life of the Republic of Moldova, to ensure the rights, freedoms and obligations. This law provides partial transposition of the European Council Directive no. 83/2004/CE of 29 April 2004 on minimum standards for the qualification to be third country nationals or stateless persons as refugees or benefit of persons who otherwise need international protection and the content protection granted.
