The project Living together without discrimination implemented by the National Human Rights Council and the Moroccan Government intends to strengthen instruments and public policies to fight and prevent racism, discrimination and xenophobia towards the migrant population.

E-Mindful Project

Aware of the divisive potential of an increasing polarized public discourse on migration, the project will pool lessons from selected awareness-raising campaigns on migration. Such analysis will offer evidence-based grounds to develop innovative prototypes of awareness-raising/edutainment formats in collaboration with communication experts at the national level, including University faculties of semiotics, communication and marketing, schools of journalism/TV/radio and art.

SFAX - Multi-stakeholder cooperation projects to ensure migrant access to services amidst COVID-19

This action was submitted through the GFMD Mayors Mechanism Call to Local Action for Migrants and Refugees.

In Sfax, an underestimated number of migrants in Sfax were in need of information and access to health and social services when the epidemic of COVID-19 started. Many had lost jobs and were in need of support to livelihood. Their conditions worsened with the imposition of the lock-down. Additionally, the Municipality faced three key challenges:

- The absence of a national normative framework for the protection of migrants.
