Return of the Icons is an initiative from AFFORD Institute that explores and takes forward key conversations around African human remains and cultural artefacts held by UK museums and other institutions. It also considers issues around their preservation and protection, as well as campaigns for their eventual return to their countries of origin, as part of a process of leveraging heritage and culture for job creation and prosperity.
The overall objective of the project is to contribute to poverty reduction and inclusive rural transformations, through the creation of decent employment opportunities in rural areas prone to outmigration, while promoting migration as a climate adaptation strategy.

Over 24 months, the proposed project aims to mainstream the migration, environment and climate change nexus into national adaptation planning. The Institute of the National Housing Fund for Workers (INFONAVIT) offers compatriots who live in the United States, who have a home in Mexico with Infonavit credit or wish to pay the Infonavit home loan of a family member or a third party , being able to make payments or amortizations directly in a safe and fast way through a branch of the remittance companies: Dolex, Maxi Transfer or Express Exchange. Infonavit pays the commissions for sending the money to Mexico.
The MX Global Network ("Red Global MX") brings together a large group of Mexican women and men abroad interested in using their professional and academic qualifications, on a voluntary and non-profit basis, to serve the development of Mexico and its integration into the knowledge economy. The MX Global Network is made up of local Chapters with autonomy of management and action and has a significant presence globally and in Europe in particular.
The programme aims to provide a cultural immersion experience in Mexico that allows young Mexicans to strengthen their ties with the country and foster cultural ties, as well as to facilitate a volunteer work opportunity in support of the communities with emphasis on the regions of origin of Mexican migrants.
