All migrants who register with local municipal authorities are entitled to health care assistance on the same terms as Spanish citizens under Spanish national legislation, including the Organic Law on the Rights and Freedoms of Aliens in Spain and their Social Integration. 

However, a number of immigrants are not registered because they are unaware of the process, they fear enforcement authorities' access to the database, or their municipal government rejects their registration.

The overall objective of MIDA (Migration for Development in Africa) is to assist African governments to achieve their development goals through the creation and strengthening of sustainable links between migrants and their countries of origin.

MIDA focuses on the circulation of competencies, expertise and experience of the Diasporas, without jeopardizing their legal status in their host countries or newly adopted home countries.

Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Qatar, Syria, Tunisia, UAE and Yemen signed an agreement to start electronic money transfers using technology that has been developed by the Universal Postal Union (UPU).

According to the Universal Postal Union (UPU), the agreement will now allow the eight countries to exchange money orders on a multilateral basis. This is particularly valuable in countries such as the United Arab Emirates, where more than 80% of the population are foreigners, and millions of dollars are sent to home countries through remittances. 

The Commission on Filipinos Overseas designed the Lingkod sa Kapwa Pilipino or LINKAPIL Program in 1989. The Balik Scientist Program (BSP) was established in 1975 to encourage overseas Filipino scientists, professionals and technicians to return or reside in the Philippines, and share their expertise in order to accelerate the scientific, agro-industrial and economic development of the country.

The OFW Reintegration Program (OFW-RP) is a special loan program of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) in partnership with the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) and the Land Bank of the Philippines (LandBank).  It is intended to support enterprises development among OFWs and their families.

The National Rapporteur reports on Trafficking in Human Beings and Sexual Violence against Children in the Netherlands. The Rapporteur’s main task is to report on the nature and extent of human trafficking and sexual violence against children in the Netherlands, and on the effects of the government policies pursued.
