Swedish migration network

The Swedish Minister for migration has created the "Swedish migration network" meeting that take places on regular basis in an informal setting. The meeting is chaired by the Minister for migration. He invites colleagues working on migration issues from civil society, government agencies, trade unions, employer organizations, faith based organizations, diaspora organizations, the Red Cross and think tanks to put forward criticisms, experience sharing and suggestions from different points of views.

CLANDESTINO - Undocumented Migration: Counting the Uncountable Data and Trends Across Europe

Clandestino is an interdisciplinary project aiming to support policy makers in designing and implementing appropriate policies regarding undocumented migration. It covers 11 EU countries, provides an inventory and a critical appraisal of data and estimates related to undocumented migration in the European Union and selected Member States.

Model Oversea Filipino Workers' Family of the Year Award (MOFYA)

This is an annual event recognizing overseas Filipino workers' families who have defined the social risks that are associated with overseas migration. These families demonstrated evidence of success in keeping positive family values and family unity, despite physical separation, in providing quality education for the children and in the achievement of economic prosperity for themselves and for their community.

The Bagong Bayani Awards for outstanding oversea Filipino workers

The Bagong Bayani Awards is a world wide search for the Philippines outstanding over the Filipino workers. This award seeks to recognize and pay tributes to our oversea Filipino workers for the significant efforts to fostering good will among people in the world, enhancing and promoting the image of the Filipino as a competent, responsible and dignified worker, and for greatly contributing to the growth and well-being of the company and to the socio-economic development of their communities.

Todos Somos Migrantes Campaign (We are all migrants)

Starting from 2008, the government of Ecuador launched the campaign "Todos Somos Migrantes" (We are all migrants) which aimed at raising awareness on the importance of migrants, as well as promoting principle of universal citizenship, the right of all human being to migrate and harmonious coexistence. In 2010, the campaign refocused its objective to fighting against discrimination, racism and xenophobia.

Online Community on Migration and Integration - Building Inclusive Societies (IBIS)

UN Alliance of Civilizations and the International Organization for Migration have jointly built the interactive community "Integration - Building Inclusive Societies" to promote good practices of integration of migrants. It is a website that showcases successful models of integration and highlights good practices implemented by a variety of stakeholders. The website is expected to serve as a source of information and a virtual space for exchange and learning, as well as to support coordination and cooperation between integration practitioners.

Observatory of Mass Media on Migrants and Refugees

Established in 2006, the main objective of the Observatory is to promote transparent and reliable information on migration matters in Costa Rica and Central America and to serve as a primary source for consultation by private and public sectors, NGOs, mass media, academic and research institutions and civil society, among others. The Observatory is available on the Internet, and methodology is mainly through a comprehensive analysis of the information from a social, political and juridical viewpoint.

Migrant Works Campaign

Migration Works is a campaign to promote positive attitude and behavioral change towards migrants in Malaysia. On the occasion of International Migrants Day 2012, the International Labour Organization (ILO), in partnership with the other United Nations agencies and civil society partners, launched this campaign to promote a more positive image of migrants that corresponds to their actual contribution and highlights the benefits that migration brings, both to Malaysia and the migrants’ home countries.

Saphan Siang Youth Ambassador (SSYA)

The Saphan Siang Youth Ambassadors programme has proven to be a successful and instrumental part of the Saphan Siang (Brideges of Voices) campaign. The Youth Ambassadors will assist the partner organisations, through capacity building or additional service provision, to respond to migrant worker issues and promote the Saphan Siang campaign messages, such as promoting better understanding between Thais and migrant workers, their contribution to Thailand's economy and society, and their rights to protection under the law and access to support services.
