The mobility partnerships are the most complete framework for bilateral cooperation between the EU and its partners, based on mutual offers of commitments and project initiatives covering mobility, migration and asylum issues, within the Global Approach to Migration and Mobility (GAMM). Helping citizens to move around Europe in a secure environment is a key component of the Eastern Partnership, which promotes the mobility of the citizens of the EU Eastern partner countries through visa facilitation agreements, and provides rules for managing the return of irregular migrant

The "ProRecognition" project, launched by the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) in autumn 2015 with funding from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), has established recognition consulting services at eight AHK locations.

With the objective of defining comprehensive, sustainable and European standards-based policies in the area of migrations and asylum, the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina is continually developing, implementing and monitoring the implementation of strategic documents in this area.

A five-year intervention worth 5,2+ million US$ of the U.S. Government in Bosnia and Herzegovina.  This USAID’s project catalyzes diaspora’s contribution to socio-economic development in BiH by structuring, stimulating, and supporting diaspora investment in the home country.

The project has three main components:

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Policy on Cooperation with Diaspora is the state-level framework policy prepared by a multi-sector working group chaired by the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 Diaspora for Development (D4D) project is a four-year intervention funded by the Swiss Government in the area of M&D in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project is implemented from December 2016 to December 2020 by UNDP BiH, in cooperation with the IOM BiH and the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sector for Diaspora).

Since 2009, the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina have prepared annual migration profiles of Bosnia and Herzegovina independently. The Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sector for Diaspora) prepares the chapter entitled "Emigration from Bosnia and Herzegovina" in annual BiH migration profiles, compiled and published by the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The project, cofinanced by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund, aims to optimise the transition between pre-integrative language-learning, information and advice courses abroad and initial language teaching, as well as further integration measures provided by the Federal Government in Germany.

The online portal "Returning from Germany" is a best practice example in the context of voluntary return policies which will be discussed at the Roundtable 2.2. The portal informs migrants in Germany about the option of a voluntary return and existing support possibilities, facilitates pre-departure counselling and transparency and links to post-arrival and reintegration assistance.
