The One-Stop Shop promotes the idea that integration is a two-way process, where the receiving society actively engages in ensuring the integration and adaptation of migrants.

Since 2009, the PDOS has expanded with the implementation of a Comprehensive Pre-Departure Education Program (CPDEP) for Household Service Workers (HSWs).
