The United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), under its Regional Programme on 'Empowering Women Migrant Workers in Asia', partners with recruiting/placement agency associations in some Asian countries to negotiate favourable contracts, benefits and working conditions for women; and to inform them of their rights.

The Pan-African University's Nyerere Program

The Nyerere Program aims to contribute to high-level African human resource development and retention and supporting intra-African academic mobility. It covers a range of initiatives to boost mobility for students and staff in higher education, promoting research and capacity building and acting to stem the numbers of qualified graduates leaving for jobs outside the continent.

African Institute for Remittances

The African Institute for Remittances (AIR) is a specialized technical office of the African Union Commission (AUC) established to assist the AU Member States to:

(a) improve their statistical measurement, compiling and reporting capabilities on remittances data;

(b) Promote appropriate changes to their legal and regulatory frameworks for remittances, payment and settlement systems as well as use of innovative technology so as to promote greater competition and efficiency, resulting in reductions of transfer costs; and

Réseau International des Congolais de l'Exterieur (RICE) ( International Network of Congolese Abroad)

The International Network of Congolese Abroad (Réseau International des Congolais de l'Exterieur - RICE), is an association that gathers the Congolese diapora in France.

In October 2013 it launched a call for a business plan of €50,000 to finance local projects orthe creation of enterprises to the benefit of entrepreneurs from DRC, Gabon and the Republic of Congo.

'Strengthening African and Middle Eastern Diaspora Policy through South-South Exchange' (AMEDIP) is a project of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), developed and implemented within the framework of the Dialogue on Mediterranean Transit Migration (MTM). More specifically, AMEDIP builds directly upon the previous MTM initiative 'Linking Emigrant Communities for More Development - Inventory of Institutional Capacities and Practices', implemented by ICMPD and IOM in the period 2009 - 2010.
