DataShift

The DataShift is a multi-stakeholder, demand-driven initiative that builds the capacity and confidence of civil society organizations to generate and use citizen-generated data to monitor development progress, demand accountability and campaign for transformative change.  Ultimately, the vision is a world where people-powered accountability drives progress on sustainable development.

Bi-national workers' agreement on promoting decent work for Migrant Domestic Workers

The agreement concluded in September 2014 aims to support the continuation of joint activities of trade unions and domestic workers' organisations from both countries as well as to strengthen organisations in Paraguay and their relations with regional and international unions. According to the Action Plan, an online Union Network will be established and a communication strategy using social networks will be developed in order to promote the knowledge and exercise the rights of domestic workers and migrants in Argentina and Paraguay.

MERCOSUR Labour Market Observatory

The general objective of the Observatory is to facilitate decision making in relation to the labour markets in the region. The Observatory promotes the production, collection, analysis and dissemination of information including data related to employment, labour migration, vocational training, social security, labour market policies. The observatory also includes harmonized indicators relating to the labour market.  It has a tripartite structure, and includes representatives from Government, trade Unions, and employers’ associations, which meet biannually.

National Registry of Rural Workers and Employers (RENATEA)

National Registry of Rural Workers and Employers (RENATEA) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security.

All employers and farm workers must be registered in RENATEA in order to develop their activities in the agriculture field. The Registry also comprises a fund that provides unemployment insurance and an employment record card to all agricultural workers.

INADI - National Institute Against Discrimination, Xenophobia and Racism

The Argentinean National Institute against Discrimination, Xenophobia and Racism, is an organ of the Government that promotes different initiatives in order to promote more inclusive policies. They have produced a Discrimination Map of Argentina and organised community workshops.

Patria Grande (National Program for Migrant Documents Regularization)

The Argentinean National Migration Directorate established via its disposition N. 53253/2005 a "National Program for Migrant Documents Regularization", which was also called "Patria Grande". This programme was arranged to regularize the immigration status of natives of foreign countries belongining to MERCOSUR (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela) and their associate member countries (Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru and Suriname), that were residing in Argentina prior to April 17th, 2006.
