National Registry of Rural Workers and Employers (RENATEA) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security.
All employers and farm workers must be registered in RENATEA in order to develop their activities in the agriculture field. The Registry also comprises a fund that provides unemployment insurance and an employment record card to all agricultural workers.
In Russia, special language courses have been established. There are now more than 300 special language courses which operate together with partners from diaspora, academics and NGO’s. Two special centers have been also established. It is a pilot project to support, educate and empower migrants.

TOKTEN is jointly administered by UNDP and UNV (UN Volunteers). Inaugurated in 1977, it aims to transfer technical expertise of expatriates through short term consultancies in their countries of origin. These are not envisaged as employment missions, but rather as short-term voluntary services.
In the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the Quality and Conformity Council (QCC) is mandated with the certification of personnel. The QCC has embarked on a project to pilot a certification process, using 24 designated occupations for which standards have been developed. The QCC has consulted extensively with regulators and industries to identify 24 occupations for Personnel Certification. These occupations are primarily in the construction field with two in the agricultural field.

These initiatives seem to be easier to set up and work better when they are organized at the bilateral rather than at the multilateral level.
National Electronic Labour Exchange (NELEX) project is an innovative platform which is designed to evolve a database of employable Labour in the Country so as to facilitate the job exchange functions of the Ministry.

The House Committee on Diaspora established the NiDO's (Nigerians in Diaspora Organizations) to form a global network of all Nigerians living outside Nigeria in order to enable a focused contribution to development through collective efforts en engagement.
