National Integration Plan 2023-2027 Costa Rica

The General Directorate for Migration and Immigration, Ministry of Governance and Police, Costa Rica has embarked on a new iteration of the four-year National Integration Plan with support from the Migration EU eXpertise Initiative (MIEUX+), which is funded by the European Union and implemented by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development.

Diaspora investment in sustainable rural youth entrepreneurship in Mali

Through its Financing Facility for Remittances (FFR), IFAD is working to mobilize Malian migrant investment to encourage economic development entrepreneurism and employment in Mali, and to stimulate the economic inclusion of young Malians and offer them an alternative to migration, particularly in rural areas.

Programme Migration & Diaspora (PMD)

The PMD programme is financed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and supports key actors in making more effective use of regular migration and diaspora engagement to achieve their development goals. Guided by the Global Compact for Migration (GCM), the program is implemented by GIZ in up to 25 partner countries and focuses on the following three components:

 

Norway Integration Policy

The goal of this policy is to increase labour market participation by investing in formal education, skills and qualifications, and to foster participation in society in general. Formal skills and qualifications are key to acquiring and keeping a job.

At the core of Norway’s Integration Policy are two programmes regulated by the Introduction Act:

Migra Movil

The "migra movil" is a fully equipped bus supported by the Government of Costa Rica and the IOM to train personnel in charge of immigrant services that brings information and services to citizens living far from the capital, but also to vulnerable migrants in border areas.

Global Migration Film Festival

The UN Migration Agency’s Global Migration Film Festival  (GMFF) showcases films that capture the promise and challenge of migration for two weeks every December.  Migration is at the heart of storytelling and the festival. As a partnership between IOM, governments and universities, the GMFF can stimulate healthy debate about integration through the lens of independent filmmakers.

Youth College

The Youth College is a free education, training and mentoring programme for young migrants (mostly asylum-seekers) aged between 15 and 21 in Vienna. As part of the city’s broader “Start Wien” integration initiative, the aim of the Youth College is to help young migrants lead an independent life as quickly as possible by preparing them for further education, vocational training or the workplace.

German-Moroccan training partnerships for the vocational guidance of adolescents in Morocco

The partnership between the Moroccan National Federation of Public Works (FNBTP) and the German training organization 'Otto Benecke Stiftung', together with professional federations and German and Moroccan vocational training institutions, provides young people with vocational training in Morocco. The aim of the project is to contribute to the battle against youth unemployment and against irregular migration to Europe, as well as to provide vocational training in Morocco that meets international standards. 

Artistic Mobility Fund in Africa

Africa Art Lines Association is a fund that allows artists and cultural operators carrying artistic projects between Morocco and other African countries to benefit from grants for their travel expenses, thus promoting labor mobility and cultural awareness. Africa Art Lines accepts artists and cultural professionals living and working within the continent and holding projects related to Morocco.
